3 Dimensional Art & Design

Life Sculptures

Ceramic Hathor Drinking Glasses

Picture
Hathor is known as the ‘Great One of Many Names’. Her many attributes include being the goddess of love, beauty, happiness, and fertility. These drinking glasses have a regal look and feel. A golden and black-flecked glaze surrounds the outside of the glass, while a stark white lines the inside. The black flecks of the outer glaze rest in the details of Hathor’s sculpted image, illuminating the depth and dimension of her beauty.

Ceramic Elephant Mugs

Picture
The handles of these mugs look just like elephant trunks and each is uniquely designed with their own twists, creases and taper. The body of each mug comes either with a wide base and narrow mouth or narrow base and wide mouth, often imitating the foot of the elephant. After sipping down your entire hot beverage you will reveal an impression of an elephant in the base of the mug.

Ceramic Leaf Imprinted Dishes

Picture
These plates, cups, bowls, and vases are carefully painted first in the greenware state with an engobe to outline the leaf of choice. Imprints of the leaves with their veins, stalks, and stems are embedded at this time. After the first firing a glaze is applied to highlight the texture from the leaves and compliment the engobe color. One last firing locks in the color and strengthens the integrity of the ceramic body.

From Clay to Toothbrush Holder

The head of this owl detaches from the body for easy cleaning (if used as a toothbrush holder), to store goodies, and to rotate 270 degrees as a true owl can.
